keep boots upright using pool noodles

Yikes! My growing hoard collection of boots was starting to make my closet look quite untidy. Although I try to keep them lined up, the tops still flop over each other and it looks like a tangled mess.

To get my boots to stand attention I thought I would try an idea I've seen floating around online ... though I'm not sure where I saw it originally.

Until today my boots looked like this as they sat in my closet. Eek! Not so pretty to look at plus this can damage the boot.

So my boots went from this ...

... to this! I know pool noodles are not really in season right now but I've had one hiding out in the back of my trunk since last July. So if you have any you were going to retire you may want to give this a try before you throw them out.

Supplies
•  Pool noodle (I found mine at the dollar store and was able to make several sets out of just one.)
•  Knife
•  Cutting board

Directions
• stick the pool noodle inside your boot to determine which length to cut them. Mine sit a couple inches below the opening of the boot to keep them hid from view.
• Place it on a cutting board and cut with a knife to get a nice clean slice.
• Cut one more the same length to complete your set.

Wow! That was even easier than my last tutorial. ;)

This is a good idea for taller boots. For most of mine I use old one liter Smart Water water bottles. Cheap, easy, and recycling!
